Archon Firearms provides optic cuts for various red-dot mounting footprints. Currently, the standard solutions include the RMR, RMS, and Aimpoint ACRO footprints, but other red dots can be accommodated at the customer’s request.

For the reason of maximum utilization of the pistol’s low silhouette and bore-axis, Archon Firearms cuts the specific footprint direction into the slide taking care of providing co-witness with the glock–compatible pistol’s iron sights as a backup.

AF-SPEEDLOCK

The stand-out feature of the Archon Firearms pistols is the  slide locking mechanism.

The internationally patented AF  Speedlock™ utilized a locking block which is down along the

main pin with the pistol’s discharge.

The locking block is not connected to the barrel, which remains completely horizontal during the pistol cycle.

It only performs a back-and-forth  motion of less than 8mm.

The patented AF Speedlock™ together with the low-bore axis  contribute to the excellent recoil management during the  pistol’s operation, as the recoil’s force is concentrated travelling into the shooter’s arms and the muzzle flip is significantly reduced by the non-tilting barrel.

This solution makes the pistol ideal for sushooting and in  combination with the Archon 9 multicaliber compatibility will  provide previously unheard-of performance of an assault rifle

from a compact pistol platform.
